2026 Local Author Festival
The Avon Library's Local Author Festival celebrates 12 years this summer! Since Summer 2014, this festival has featured writers from New England and the tri-state area who share their work, inspiration, and ideas with our audience. Authors of fiction, mystery, history, biography, children’s, and poetry have all been part of the Local Author Festival.
Throughout the pandemic we have invited Kirstin Harmel, Spencer Quinn, Gail Tsukiyama, Kristy Harvey, and Bill Hayes virtually into our living rooms! Previous summers have included the talents of Liv Constantine, Ann Leary, Matthew Dicks, Kristan Higgins, James Frey, Adriana Trigiani, Archer Mayor, Marilyn Simon Rothstein, B.A. Shapiro, and Andrea Bartz.
For summer 2026, we'd like to have host a Local Author Open House. Each author will have their own table. The program will begin at 6:30 pm, with formal remarks (and a chance for each author to introduce themselves) beginning at 7:00 pm. After each author shares, there will be more time for the audience to mingle and shop.
Please complete this survey by 12 noon on 4/15/26. Submissions after this date will not be considered.
Thank you,
