Introduction

This survey is about claims harvesting companies.
We are seeking to gather an understanding of the scale of the problems facing the sector so that we can make an effective case to government to tackle unscrupulous claims harvesting companies and solicitors.

The National Federation of ALMOs (NFA) is administering this survey on behalf of the NFA, Councils with ALMOs Group (CWAG) and Association of Retained Council Housing (ARCH). The Local Government Association (LGA) is also distributing the survey among its members, and the Housing Ombudsman Service is partnering with us on the work.

The survey data will be aggregated, anonymised and shared publicly. We will also use it in our conversations with government. The NFA will not share identifiable organisational level data without your permission.

A copy of the survey on PDF can be provided on request.
The survey closes on Friday 8 August - please contact us if you will require extra time.

Notes for completion

We know not everyone will gather - or be able to collate - all the data. Please answer as many questions as you can. Where 2023-2024 data is still being finalised, please provide estimates or let us know when the data will be available so we can follow up with you.

Please provide data for financial years. If you use calendar years, please provide estimates for the financial year so we have comparable data.

If you are a local authority with an ALMO, please provide one joint response.

Please email lisa.birchall@almos.org.uk if you have any questions or require further information.
