1. Application Instructions

The Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) welcomes applications for positions on its Board of Ddirectors. Directors, voted in for two-year terms, are expected to attend five to six meetings a year, serve on Committees, and represent the best interests of IBPA’s over 3,000 members. Each annual term runs July 1st through June 30th.
 
The deadline to apply for the fiscal year 2019 and 2020 term (being July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2020) is December 31, 2017.

Any IBPA member may apply on behalf of himself, herself, or someone else for consideration by the Board Nominating Committee as a candidate for election. To do so, please fill out and submit this application form.

About the Board Nominating Committee
The IBPA Board Nominating Committee is appointed by the current Board Chair, and is comprised of past IBPA Board members and IBPA's CEO. The Committee reviews applications and selects qualified candidates for nomination. Candidates can also be nominated directly by members under certain circumstances. Nominees to the Board of Directors are voted in during IBPA's Annual Members Meeting. The next Annual Members Meeting will be held April 7, 2018 during IBPA Publishing University.
