Redlands Coast – Skills Interests Survey - for Redlands Business

The Redlands Regional Jobs Committee want to hear from Redlands industry including business owners, business operators,  HR and training managers.  Please tell us what skilling and training you would like to offer your current staff plus what skilled workers you envisage you will be looking to hire within the next 5 years. What you share here will help us to understand what our Redlands community want and need when it comes to training and skilling. We will then broker training and skilling opportunities to our Redlands Coast Region that: 
(a) aligns with community training and skilling enrolment interests and
(b) links to industry/employers up-coming skilled job availabilities and needs here in the Redlands. 
 
This twofold approach will ensure we are focusing our skilling and training efforts in the Redlands on training solutions that our community really want to complete that will lead to real job prospects.
 
This will result in the development of a skilled available Redlands Coast workforce that have the most in demand skills to meet the jobs vacancies on offer!
 
In addition to Vocational Education and Training offerings (VET) offerings we are working on the attraction of University level offerings here in the Redlands. We need to hear from you our Redlands industry employers what University qualified workers you envisage you will be looking to hire here in the Redlands in the next 5 years.  
 
The survey will take 5-10 minutes to complete. We value your time and input. All data is used for research purposes only and will be kept in the strictest confidence. We do not give away or sell your personal details.

6.If you have engaged external training providers and you found them to be particularly good and would recommend them to other businesses please share the training providers details.
7.What general skills areas would you consider delivering training to up-skilling your current staff in, to make them a more skilled worker?

9.Are there skilled worker roles that you have a particularly hard time filling due to skills shortage or are notoriously hard to recruit?

This will help us bolster skilled workers in the right qualifications to met the needs of industry. 
10.Do you have business growth plans that will lead to the likely creation of additional job availabilities over the next 5 years?

This is to assist us in brokering training offerings (VET and Uni level) here in the Redlands that leads to a skilled available workforce for the jobs that are coming in the Region. 
13.Are there any factors or barriers that have limited your businesses training engagement and outcomes?
14.We have a major Queensland University currently assessing the prospect of delivering some University level offerings here in the Redlands. If you require university level graduate roles in your business please tell us what course or qualifications your staff or roles require. (list as many as applicable). 

Your input will directly influence and guide what courses are offered here in the Redlands. We want to ensure offerings meet community wants and industry needs!
15.Please share with us any thoughts you have about having University level offerings here in the Redlands. What do you see would be the pro's and con's? 
16.How many of your current staff would be interested and would you consider supporting to complete an Master of Business Administration (MBA) whilst they continue to work if the MBA was offered here in the Redlands? Note an MBA costs approx $40,000 - $60,000+ to complete depending on the University.
