The Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM) is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for the SAHM Career Development Award in Adolescent Health.

The Career Development Award in Adolescent Health is directed towards promoting interest in a career in adolescent health. The purpose of this award is to facilitate interest in a career in adolescent medicine/health or to reinforce those who already made this decision.
  • Deadline for Receipt of Application: October 29, 2026
  • Notification of Award: January 2027
  • Funding Period: March 2027-February 2028
  • Final Report due: May 2028

7.A letter of recommendation from the nominee’s mentor/advisor in adolescent health at applicant's institution. This letter should describe applicant's commitment to the health and well-being of adolescents and applicant's involvement in the research project.(Required.)

8.A 3-5 page typed narrative that includes the following:

1.) A description of applicant's commitment to the health and well-being of adolescents through past and current activities such as community service, mentoring, and coaching.

2.) A brief description of applicant's research project describing applicant's level of involvement in the design, execution, and analysis of the project.

3.) A discussion of how applicant believes the award will impact upon their career choice.(Required.)
