The Town of Tillsonburg is seeking feedback on whether to change the current exemptions that apply to the commercial and industrial sectors.

Continue to exempt all industrial ($2.7M over 10 years, to be covered mostly by the residential class)

Partial industrial exemption (e.g. Waterloo Region has a 60% exemption)

Phase in the implementation of the industrial charge over time to monitor the impact on development activity

Exempt only certain industrial sectors that the Town wants to incentivize (i.e. manufacturing)
