YoungStar Analysis and Improvement Survey
What: The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) needs your help in analyzing and improving YoungStar, our state’s Quality Rating and Improvement System for child care.
Why: High-quality child care matters for Wisconsin’s children, families, and communities. That’s why DCF works to ensure all families have access to high quality child care that meets their needs.
One of the ways we do this is through
YoungStar, which sets expectations for child care quality, rates child care programs on how well they’re meeting those expectations, gives child care programs support to meet quality expectations, and gives families information to use in their child care decisions.
How: To help us make YoungStar work for Wisconsin families, providers, educators, and other child care stakeholders please answer the following questions about your thoughts and experiences with child care quality. DCF will use your answers to inform how we improve YoungStar.
