- To understand the role of the Local Authority Designated Officer in managing allegations in Hull and East Riding;
- To understand the government guidance that underpins the allegation management process;
- To improve your confidence in handling or raising concerns/allegations;
- To explore the contributions by the Police, Children’s Services, employer, or community group leaders and regulatory or governing bodies;
- To understand the process of investigating an allegation and how the matter reaches formal conclusion;
- To understand when and why a referral to the Disclosures and Barring Service may be appropriate;
- To consider best practice in creating a culture of responding low-level concerns.
