1. About this consultation

The purpose of this questionnaire is to collect examples of published research that provide useful evidence to support national strategy and policy development by the UK Government's Office for Disability Issues (ODI).

In this review, we are interested in evidence relevant to independent living for disabled people. We are particularly interested in published evidence about (a) 'improving choice and control' and/or (b) 'access to goods and services'.

The questionnaire asks for information about one example of published research evidence, but you can return to the questionnaire at any time to submit more examples.

This rapid evidence assessment is one of a series of reviews that form part of the ODI commitment to build an evidence base to inform future policy development and assess improvements in life chances for disabled people towards equality by 2025. The intention is to disseminate this evidence base through an on-line knowledge hub, collating and synthesising disability related evidence around key policy priorities.

Thank you for your help. If you have any questions about the research, or would like help to submit evidence (e.g. in alternative formats), please contact the project team:
