ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
-Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
-BScN preferred.
-Current BCLS Certification.
-Cardiovascular Module Certificate of Critical Care Nursing Program from a Community College (within past 5 years).
-Current ACLS certification
-Current Certification in Delegated Medical Acts - Recognition and Treatment of arrhythmias, life saving drugs, application of energy
-Minimum three (3) years current PACU experience (within past 3 years)
-Minimum one (1) year current surgical experience (within past 5 years) preferred.
-Advanced competency in epidural pain management, central and arterial lines
-Acute Pain Management.
-Physical assessment skills.
-Airway management skills.
-Procedural Sedation Certification within 6 months of hiring.
-Member of RNAO preferred.
-Satisfactory attendance.
