Angling Access on the River Derwent |
Angler access on any natural waterway is a constant problem. Steep banks, long walks and unsecure car parking often exclude anglers from accessing the fantastic fishing available on rivers.
The Earl of Harrington Angling Club in partnership with the Environment Agency, Derby City Council and the Angling Trust are looking to address this issue and create a stretch of river that is much more accessible to anglers. As part of this project the club are seeking funding to install permanent stone fishing pegs with gradual slopes suitable for disabled anglers & solid stone steps down to the pegs.
The answers provided in the following survey will be used as evidence in the funding bid to demonstrate to funders the extent of the problem.
