This survey is being managed by Tahoe SPARK, a regional non-profit advocating for fair electric rates for residents in the Tahoe region and throughout the Liberty Electric service territory. Your answers are needed urgently to help inform ratemaking happening in mid-May 2026. The decisions made this month will determine the who pays more of the electric system burden from 2026-onward. The current proposal from Liberty advocates for higher excess rates for primary residents than for second homes or vacation homes. The responses will help us better understand who is asking for more service upgrades and higher capacity equipment: primary residences or non-primary residences with EV charging, hot tubs, and other high load devices.
