Chemical Safety & Community Resiliency Outreach Initiative
The Merrimack Valley Planning Commission (MVPC) and the Massachusetts Office of Technical Assistance (OTA) are launching a program to reduce the risk of severe weather-related accidents at industrial and municipal/regional facilities by incorporating toxics use reduction into emergency preparedness and hazard mitigation planning. The following questions are designed to gather baseline information of facilities and current management practice in chemical use and emergency preparedness to withstand extreme storm events. Your responses will help inform development of our first training workshop scheduled for October 18th at the Haverhill campus of Northern Essex Community College. All replies will be kept confidential.
