1. General Information

We invite you to send us a proposal to present a poster session at our 2020 Annual Conference.

These sessions will be conducted on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Albuquerque Convention Center between 1-2 pm (after the Luncheon). Presenters should plan to present for 10-15 minutes with time for questions and should plan to repeat their presentation 3-4 times within the poster session time 

Submissions will be accepted until  January 16 at 11:59 pm. We will be accepting proposals on a rolling basis, so please submit as soon as possible. Thank you for your interest, support, and willingness to share your knowledge.

If your proposal is accepted, the Presenter will receive free conference registration for Saturday (lunch not included). If your proposal is not accepted, we will honor Early Bird Registration rates.

The session may address all areas of early childhood, preferably relevant to our theme and content pillars. NMAEYC is looking for a diverse selection of sessions this year to support the different areas of the field that work with all age groups, all types of professionals and in all settings.

• Poster session presentations must reflect developmentally appropriate practices as defined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and participating organizations.

• Selling in poster session is strictly prohibited. NAEYC’s stated policy is that “Presenters may not use their session as a forum for product sales”. Presenters selling products may want to consider renting a booth in the Exhibit Hall. Please contact us at conference@nmaeyc.org if that is the case.

Question Title


• Presenters are responsible for providing their own poster, materials (hand-outs, etc), and anything else needed for their presentation and NMAEYC is not responsible for incurring any of the costs associated with acquiring, distributing or utilizing these materials and tools.

• NMAEYC will provide a space to display posters, and a table and chair if requested.

• Presenters receive free conference registration for Saturday. Lunch is not provided in this registration. NMAEYC is not responsible for the cost of registration for additional presenters.

• Presenters are responsible for being at their poster during the entire duration of poster sessions (March 7, 1-2pm in the Exhibit Hall) and must arrive at least 15 minutes early at their poster. Presenters must check-in at the presenter table when registering. Presenters must setup their poster and station on Friday or before registration opens on Saturday (times will be provided at least 2-3 weeks before the conference).
