Call for Applications: LSDN Vice Chair

Purpose of LSDN: The LEND Self-Advocacy Discipline Network (LSDN) aims to strengthen the Self-Advocacy discipline across the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) network by supporting Self-Advocate trainees and faculty, developing best practices, and providing leadership opportunities across the LEND network.

The LSDN is led by a Chair and a Vice Chair, who each serve a two-year term. These positions offer Self-Advocate trainees and faculty meaningful leadership opportunities, helping to build skills, strengthen connections between LEND programs, and ensure that the voices of self-advocates shape the network.

Time Commitment
  • The Chair and Vice Chair each serve a 2-year term
  • Approximate time commitment of 2 hours per month
    • Leadership will be expected to attend LSDN Meetings every other month, meetings will last about an hour

Responsibilities of Leadership:
  1. Promote and support the purpose of the LSDN;
  2. Represent LSDN in AUCD network meetings;
  3. Serve as a thought partner to the LSDN, AUCD, and the overall LEND network;
  4. Contribute to and/or review LSDN projects and deliverables, as needed
  5. Plan the agenda with AUCD for network meetings,
