The City of Chandler is evaluating improvements to Kyrene Road between the Santan Freeway (Loop 202) and Chandler Boulevard to help meet the area's future transportation needs. The project includes studying the widening of Kyrene Road from four lanes to six lanes, along with potential enhancements such as bike lanes, pedestrian facilities, landscaped medians, streetlights, bus stop improvements, utility upgrades, and other corridor improvements.
As part of this effort, the City is updating a previous assessment completed in 2021 to reflect current conditions and forecasted growth through the year 2050. Community input is an important part of the process, and public feedback will help inform the project design and identify opportunities to improve safety, mobility, and connectivity for everyone who travels through the corridor.
