At the core of a renewed Kwantlen Custom Governance Code is arriving at a governance model that is reflective of the wishes of membership. This survey will present governance model options that have been surfaced by members.

A Nation’s internal governance structure is an extremely important decision for any community. The structure of the governance system enables leadership to serve the community in ways that works best for the membership.

When considering leadership structures for your governance system, it’s necessary to look at your traditional ways of doing things as well as the  present day needs of the community.

There are multiple governance options worthy of consideration to utilize the strength of your shared culture, the wisdom of your ancestors, and the tremendous skills of your members today.

Once this survey has been responded to by members, FDMS will analyze the responses and develop a summary report that will be used to guide our governance efforts moving forward.

Please note that the information gathered through this survey, specifically the questions asking for your name, status number, and age, are only being used for the purposes of confirming that this survey is being completed by a Kwantlen member, and will be kept confidential. All responses will be kept anonymous by FDMS when using survey information to develop a summary report.

Thank you for your ongoing participation in this important governance work.
