Maria Klawe
12-1PM Lunch time Lecture

Caltech Center for Diversity
Center for Student Services, 2nd Floor Common Area
Join us for a lecture and lunch with President of Harvey Mudd, Maria Klawe:
Between running intricate laboratory experiments, simulating complex physical systems, and doing or grading problem sets, Techers are busy people that often find themselves with little time to devote to increasing gender diversity in STEM fields. So is Dr. Maria Klawe, renowned mathematician, computer scientist, and the fifth president of Harvey Mudd College. Yet between all her other jobs, she is also a national leader in promoting women’s participation in STEM fields. Join us as Dr. Klawe speaks about how she manages to balance her numerous academic commitments with her efforts to bridge the gender gap in engineering and computer science, and how you can strive to do the same.

This event is sponsored by Student Affairs, The Caltech Feminist Club, and the Caltech Center for Diversity
