The Villages of Kinderhook and Valatie have received funding from New York State to prepare a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP). The focus is a Waterfront Revitalization Area near the Kinderhook Creek and Valatie Kill in both Villages. The program/plan will address local waterway issues, including water quality and public access, as well as redevelopment of waterfront areas and guiding development to areas with adequate infrastructure and away from sensitive resources. The Villages of Kinderhook and Valatie have appointed a Waterfront Advisory Committee to guide the planning process.
As we start the process, the Committee wants to hear from people who live, work, and play in Kinderhook and Valatie. We want to know what you think about quality of life, development, outdoor recreation, and waterfront access in the Villages. Your responses are critical to making informed decisions in the Waterfront Revitalization Area. Your responses are confidential and only the total combined responses of the survey will be used for planning purposes.
