Why register with us?

Right now there's a shortage of housing and accommodation in our District. There is no easy solution and we don't have houses to offer but we are doing what we can to help.

Please encourage everyone you know with housing needs (even if they're not eligible for MBIE help) to use this online registration or register over the phone by contacting the KDC Recovery Team on 027 566 3064

If we have an accurate idea of how many people need housing, we can work better on your behalf with Central Government and others to try to find an answer.

No one person or organisation has the answers, and there are legal, financial and practical limits to what Councils and Governments can do, but we want to get the full picture and do what we can.

For more information: Visit the Social Recovery Team on the first floor of the Civic Building, email arlene@kdc.govt.nz or call Arlene on 027 566 3064.
