Introduction
Each year since 2019, the Aotearoa Legal Workers' Union (ALWU) has surveyed legal workers about pay and working conditions across the legal industry. This survey is for all legal workers – lawyers and non-lawyers.
Responses are completely anonymised at the point of collection to protect your privacy.
The results of the survey are published in the New Zealand Legal Industry Employment report to increase transparency and empower legal workers to take collective action to secure better pay and working conditions.
Responses can be submitted up to 14 November 2025.
