Introduction

United Way of Lancaster County is committed to equitable access to education, economic mobility, and health and wellness for everyone in our community. This work is best accomplished through collective action with local nonprofit businesses and organizations serving the community with particular focus in service to underrepresented groups. The aim of our work is providing these groups, and ultimately all community members, with equitable opportunities.

This survey tool is designed not only to give United Way of Lancaster and the broader community an awareness of where our sector’s capacity stands, but also to empower you to understand where your organization stands. Please have the best executive leadership staff member (ideally the Executive Director or CEO) and the best executive committee member from the board (ideally the Board Chair/President) take the survey separately and without consultation to one another. This will help you identify differences between where the board feels the organization is differently than the staff. When we analyze the data, you will also be able to see where your organization is in relation to the sector as a whole.

The survey should take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete.

Disclaimer: This information will be kept confidential and will only be shared with your organization and the relevant United Way of Lancaster staff members providing evaluation and support. Data may also be shared deidentified and aggregated with the sector as a whole for wider community understanding. It is important and appreciated that you answer the survey honestly and accurately. We thank you for your time.
