Optimizing Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Working in Hepatobiliary (HB) Oncology Survey

Overview

This survey is intended for clinicians and allied health care professionals to help inform current provision of MDT practice in the UK and ultimately to inform best practice. The purpose of the project is intended predominantly to apply to HB cancer MDTs, although other forms of MDT and cancer MDTs may be touched on. It intends to map current practice and attitudes to HB cancer MDTs. More importantly it aims to identify inequalities in access to care and expertise and to provide universal standards that can be applied across the NHS and perhaps wider healthcare systems.

The survey will be derived from UK MDT centres whilst a separate Delphi process will be generated through a multi-disciplinary body of experts (medical, nursing, AHPs) across the specialties, and also patients and patient groups and charities. As an endpoint, the working group wants their findings to be published in a peer-reviewed journal and to be disseminated to National bodies, e.g., NHS bodies in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, along with Cancer alliances and NHS trusts.

The survey has 60 questions and may take 10-15 minutes to complete but it is important we get as many responses as possible so completion would be appreciated.

The closing date for completion of the survey is 3rd June 2026.

Thank you for taking part.
