National Poetry Day

RULES/TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

To enter, you must be aged 8-18 and live in the Wellington Region.
You must include 3 words from the wordlist provided.
You may pluralise or change the tense of the words (e.g. 'wait' could become 'waiting', 'waits' or 'waited')
Limit of 1 poem per person.
Poems must be original and unpublished.
By entering, you agree to Porirua Libraries publishing your poem in both physical and digital formats (including, but not limited to, the competition zine, library website and social media). Your first name, age and city may be published with your poem (if you would prefer to be published under a pen name/pseudonym please include this in your entry form)
All entries must include a completed entry form.
Prizes will be awarded in two age groups (8-12 and 13-18).
All poems will be compiled into a zine after the competition. An announcement will be made when this is completed. Poets may pick up a free copy of the zine from their preferred Porirua Libraries branch or receive a printable pdf version
