2019 Nurse Excellence Awards - Mentorship/Advocacy

This nurse:
•Provides a positive professional influence, mentorship, and support for the personal and professional advancement of other nurses in any clinical setting.

•Is professionally responsible for his/her practice, and in doing so, creates an environment of healing by supporting process improvements and practice innovations.

•Functions as a strong patient advocate, assisting the patient in navigating through the healthcare system.

•Fosters therapeutic relationships ensuring that the patients’ needs are understood and met by the health care team.

He is always willing to lend a hand or help me when I have questions or am challenged with new technology. This nominee has been like a parent to me, giving me career advise and support.
