The Alliance for Newark Public Schools is conducting a community survey to better understand the experiences of students, parents, and teachers related to school violence and discrimination. The purpose of this survey is to evaluate the safety and mental health outcomes of those affected by these issues. Some questions may be personal and challenging to answer, but every question in this survey is optional. Please be as thorough answering each question as you feel comfortable. Your participation in this survey and your responses to the questions will remain 100% confidential and anonymous.
By participating in this survey, you are adding your experiences and your voice in a process that will help inform the work that The Alliance for Newark Public Schools does to advocate for the well-being of our young people and our school district. The findings of this survey will be shared in a report to be released just before school starts in the Fall of 2023. This report will include recommendations for the Newark Board of Education, the Superintendent of Newark Public Schools, and the NJ State Board of Education.
