Title of study: Registered Children's Nurses’ self-assessed needs in respect of supporting children and young people with mental health problems in hospital and community settings

Introduction:  
The aim of our survey is to assess registered nurses’ needs in relation to supporting children and young people with mental health problems in the acute and community settings. The study objectives are:
* To determine whether Registered Nurses feel adequately equipped to support children and young people with mental health problems in the acute and community care settings.
*To determine what education and training needs registered nurses identify as being potentially helpful in supporting children and young people with mental health problems in the acute and community settings

Inclusion criteria:
Registered children or general nurses currently working with children and young people in acute and community care settings who wish to complete the survey.

Data Collection:
If you choose to participate, the following information may be useful. SurveyMonkey is a secure website and the survey is totally anonymous. Data will be encrypted; therefore, your identity cannot be tracked or traced. We will not collect any personal information, such as e-mail or IP addresses. Thus, confidentiality is guaranteed, as data will be returned anonymously. Those who use the online survey will be asked to indicate their consent to participate. 

What must I do?
* Complete the online survey. The survey will take about 10 minutes of your time.
* Please answer all the questions asked. Please note that there are no right or wrong answers.
* The survey will close on 30th September, 2019.
* Please forward this link to the survey to your registered nursing colleagues who work with children and young people in acute and community care settings in Ireland.
