Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the unique experiences of hospitalized autistic children and youth. ​​
  • Review and provide strategies to incorporate developmental-behavioural supports while caring for hospitalized autistic children and youth. ​​
  • Learn to create and develop materials and care plans to incorporate into everyday practice.​
  • Learn about key resources to support discharge planning and the prevention of repeat ED visits or hospitalization
