Rural churches have long supported communities’ spiritual and physical needs. Food ministries at many churches help vulnerable neighbors in times of need. With resources such as vans, kitchens, land and dedicated volunteers, rural churches are poised to deepen this work to increase community engagement and strengthen local economies.
In partnership with The Duke Endowment, Resourceful Communities, a program of The Conservation Fund, is launching a Faith and Food Initiative to help rural churches strengthen their food ministries and community impacts. We’ll provide free-of-charge training, small grants to help implement priority projects, and networking to build new partnerships.
