1. Purpose

The COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating for biomedical research.  Because of the particular vulnerability of early career researchers, we are reaching out to you to help gauge your challenges, needs, and thoughts on what support you need to get you through this difficult period.

For the purposes of this survey, we are limiting the survey to post-docs and those in the first 7 years after their most recent training experience.  This includes: completion of a PhD, a post-doc, a residency or other training.

The survey will take about 20 minutes to complete.  The results will be used to help advocate for needs and to work collaboratively with other funding organizations to support research.   Because we do not ask for your name, answers are anonymous.  The data will be shared and combined with the results of other biomedical research organizations outside of autism.

There are several sections.  The first asks you about how you have been affected during COVID, the second asks about your research program, the third about your training opportunities and career development.  In the fourth, we ask some questions about your mental health and then the last section collects demographic information.  Please answer them as honestly as possible, and unless specified otherwise, indicate how you feel at this time, rather than at the start of the pandemic.

We appreciate your time in helping us gather this information.
