Restricted Insurance Agency Rules Consultation
The Insurance Council of BC (Insurance Council) is accepting feedback from licensees, industry stakeholders and the public regarding amendments to Council Rules to implement the Restricted Insurance Agency Licence. Information provided will help inform the Insurance Council’s rule change request to be submitted to the Minister of Finance.
Consultation will close April 27, 2026 (3pm PT).
The proposed rule amendments are grouped by topic rather than in numerical order.

If the proposed rule changes are submitted for ministerial approval, these comments will be provided to the Minister of Finance as per the Insurance Council Rule-Making Procedure Regulation.
