Overview
At the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH), we are committed to empowering advanced practice providers (APPs) with the knowledge and tools to address emerging and often overlooked conditions in women’s health. That's why we’re excited to partner with the Lipedema Foundation to develop a new micro-credential focused on the diagnosis and treatment of this progressive and underdiagnosed disease. In the U.S. alone, more than 17 million women are believed to be affected, based on estimates from the Foundation and supporting studies.
The Lipedema Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is dedicated to advancing research and improving care through a collaborative approach that includes patients, clinicians, and scientists. Their mission is to define, diagnose, and develop effective treatments, grounded in investments in the biological, genetic, and clinical understanding of the disease.
This initiative aims to equip APPs with evidence-based education to support earlier recognition and better management for affected individuals. As we design the course, we’re seeking your input on your current awareness, clinical exposure, and confidence in managing this condition. Your perspective is essential to shaping a resource that’s practical, relevant, and impactful in everyday care.
Please take just 5 minutes to complete a brief 10-question survey. Your feedback will directly inform the development of this vital educational tool.
