Sustainability, Culture and Language, An RCGD Global Survey

Hello!
RCGD Global is on a mission to make sustainability more relatable and accessible

We are working on a project to specifically understand how culture and language might influence your view and experience of sustainability.

We define culture as the set of distinctive spiritual, material, intellectual and emotional features of society or a social group, in addition to art and literature, lifestyles, ways of living together, value systems, traditions and beliefs.

It is informed by elements ranging from geographical location to societal upbringing, and through the lenses of diverse cultures, considering age, race, class, identity, socioeconomics, disability, religion and educational attainment.

We define language as a structured system of communication that consists of grammar and vocabulary. It is the primary means by which humans convey meaning, both in spoken and written forms, and may also be conveyed through sign languages.

We believe that if we understand different perspectives, we can form better connections. That is why we are asking these questions, as they will provide insight for work we will be sharing. Thank you!
