We're already preparing for 2022, and need your help. We're putting together a few work groups to help us think about what to propose to the legislature or Congress as we move forward with ECEAP and Head Start. We're looking at a huge expansion of ECEAP and child care, and possible changes to Head Start in the next couple of years. If you're interested, please fill out the info below! Some of these might be very short term - just one or 2 meetings, and others may last longer. For more info, please contact katy@wsaheadstarteceap.com.

* 2. I'm interested in participating in the following workgroups (no more than one meeting per month, via Zoom):

Transitional Kindergarten (How does this fit into the early learning landscape? How do we ensure quality for children and families and preserve other programs families need?)

Professional Development/Staff Qualifications & Supports (How do we build a community of qualified staff so we can double the size of ECEAP & Early ECEAP? How do we ensure we are growing staff that reflect the race/ethnicity/experiences of our served population?)

Head Start Re-authorization (What needs to change to grow and strengthen Head Start and EHS, including Migrant/Seasonal and Tribal HS?)

Early ECEAP (How do we build support for more state-funded center-based comprehensive B-3 services for families?)

WSA & Racial Equity (We're working on our strategic plan and digging into what WSA can do both internally and to support member programs to focus on equity and create an anti-biased environment for children and families in Washington. Help us think through this work!)
