2025 Board Leadership Training Enrollment Form

Enrollment Deadline: Sunday, March 2, 2025. Please note that we will limit the number of applications to 100 applicants.

The 2025 Board Leadership Training will encompass seven sessions, including six online training courses and one optional in-person celebration event. Sessions will start the week of March 17, 2025, and run through the week of May 1, 2025, with a break in sessions occurring the week of April 14, 2025. There are two cohorts – one on Monday nights (with one exception in week 3, shifting Monday March 31 to Wednesday on April 2) and one on Thursday nights. All sessions will be on Zoom. When you register, you will select which cohort is best for your schedule. Flexibility for either of the cohorts will make it easier for us to place you.

Following the program, there will be an optional in-person board matching event. This event aims to help participants connect with potential board members from organizations within our Cultural Partners Network. It will include recent graduates of the Board Leadership Training. The event is scheduled for June, and more details will be announced soon.

Visit our Board Leadership Training web page for a detailed calendar, session descriptions, and faculty bios.

ASL interpretation will be provided upon request.

Eligibility: This program is open to all current and aspiring Board members, under different cost tiers. Priority is given to board members from ArtsFund's Cultural Partners Network organizations.

Cost: ArtsFund has implemented a tiered pricing model for Board Leadership Training in order to best meet the needs of the various individuals who participate in the program. We ask that you review the options below and register with the level that best represents your circumstances.

ArtsFund Cultural Partner Board Members ($150): You are a current Board member of one the organizations in ArtsFund’s Cultural Partners Network (http://www.artsfund.org/cultural-partners/)

Washington Cultural Organization Board Members ($250): You are a Board member of an arts and cultural organization outside of ArtsFund’s Cultural Partners Network.

Aspiring Board Members ($350): You are an aspiring Board member OR if the organization which you represent is outside of the cultural sector.

Cost should not be a barrier to participation and financial aid is available upon admission if needed. Please contact blt@artsfund.org to request a fee waiver.

Expectations: Participation in a minimum of 5 out of 6 online training sessions is mandatory and 100% attendance strongly encouraged. This set of trainings is designed to be interactive and hands-on, and we encourage participants to actively engage with the materials, other cohort participants and faculty members through in-session discussions, small group breakouts, and virtual whiteboards. Up to 1 hour of pre-work may be assigned per week. Class sessions may be recorded for internal record-keeping purposes; by participating in Board Leadership Training, you consent to being part of these recordings.
