Cuts $206.6 million from the Governor’s proposed operating budget

-          Cuts $69 million from funding framework for public schools

-          Cuts an additional $6.5 million from Pioneer Homes

-          Cuts $4.8 million from the Alaska Marine Highway System

Draws $2.5 billion from our savings to fill the deficit gap

The House Proposed Budget


Cuts $82 million from Governor’s proposed operating budget

Approximate PFD of $1,250

Includes oil and gas tax credit reform to capture revenue gains from oil production

Supports an education income tax to help fill the deficit gap

-          Incremental tax rate of 0.6-6%, or an average of 2.5%, of our adjusted gross income

-          Includes a deduction of $4,000 per person

-          Dividends are exempt from a state tax and can be used to cover a portion of the tax
