Gloria Hardegree Scholarship Application

The Georgia Recycling Coalition (GRC) invites local recycling coordinators in Georgia to apply for the inaugural Gloria Hardegree Scholarship. Gloria Hardegree retired in July 2026 after serving as the GRC Executive Director for more than 25 years. She worked tirelessly to expand access to recycling across every corner of the state; built strong, lasting partnerships to further the recovery of materials; and steadfastly promoted the importance of a thriving recycling industry to Georgia’s economy.

In recognition and honor of her unwavering commitment to supporting GRC members, Georgia communities, and GRC’s mission, the GRC Board of Directors has established the Gloria Hardegree Scholarship Fund. This scholarship will continue Gloria's incredible legacy and lifelong love of education by providing educational and professional development opportunities for local recycling coordinators across Georgia and will specifically provide funds for recipients to attend GRC conferences and events to learn and be inspired.

This year, scholarship recipient(s) will receive full registration and $500 stipend to attend GRC's Summit and Annual Meeting on October 14-15, 2026 in Augusta, Georgia. The summit will feature diverse topics allowing attendees to expand their education and training in multiple areas of interest.
