Part 1 - Student Enrolment Form

This form is used to collect personal data required for you to enrol in a training program with Alpha Beta College Australia Pty Ltd, a nationally accredited Registered Training Organisation (RTO 45195). Please provide all information required on each page. If you do not answer all questions, we may not be able to offer you training for the course you are pursuing.

You will be enrolling in a training program called Smart and Skilled and this training is subsidised by the NSW Government. Depending on your eligibility and circumstances, you may be entitled to fully funded training. You will need to complete all questions though, in order for Alpha Beta College Australia to determine your eligibility.

Under NSW Smart and Skilled you will be paying 50% ($750) of the full course fee for Seven UOCs.

This current round of enrolment will be completed by 30-05-2023 and training must be completed by 16-06-2023. Training will take place in Newcastle Campus.

After completing and submitting this enrolment package, you will be advised of your eligibility and if successful, you will then complete a skills assessment, including a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test, then have a funded position claimed for you and you will be given a course commencement date and all pre-course information.

This is not a student loan, this is a fully subsidised government training initiative. For students who will be undertaking Security Training under this initiative, Alpha Beta College Australia Pty Ltd, is approved in NSW by the NSW Police Force Security Licensing Enforcement Directorate (SLED), to conduct security training and holds Master Licence Number: M/L 000102989.

Ensure you read the Privacy Notice at the end of the enrolment package, prior to making your declaration and submission. Why we collect your personal information
As a registered training organisation, Alpha Beta College Australia Pty Ltd (RTO 45195), we collect your personal information so we can process and manage your enrolment in a vocational education and training (VET) course with us. If you do not provide the personal information required, we may not be able to offer you a training service with us.

How we use your personal information
We use your personal information to enable us to deliver VET courses to you, and otherwise, as needed, to comply with our obligations as an RTO.

How we disclose your personal information
We are required by law (under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth) (NVETR Act)) to disclose the personal information we collect about you to the National VET Data Collection kept by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER). The NCVER is responsible for collecting, managing, analysing and communicating research and statistics about the Australian VET sector.
We are also authorised by law (under the NVETR Act) to disclose your personal information to the relevant state or territory training authority. Alpha Beta College Australia does not disclose any personal information to overseas recipients.

How the NCVER and other bodies handle your personal information
The NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the NVETR Act. Your personal information may be used and disclosed by NCVER for purposes that include populating authenticated VET transcripts; administration of VET; facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage; and understanding the VET market.
The NCVER is authorised to disclose information to the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE), Commonwealth authorities, State and Territory authorities (other than registered training organisations) that deal with matters relating to VET and VET regulators for the purposes of those bodies, including to enable:
• administration of VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation
• facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage
• understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information.
The NCVER may also disclose personal information to persons engaged by NCVER to conduct research on NCVER’s behalf. The NCVER does not intend to disclose your personal information to any overseas recipients.

If you would like to seek access to or correct your information, in the first instance, please contact your RTO using the contact details listed below.
DESE is authorised by law, including the Privacy Act and the NVETR Act, to collect, use and disclose your personal information to fulfil specified functions and activities. For more information about how the DESE will handle your personal information, please refer to the DESE VET Privacy Notice at https://www.dese.gov.au/national-vet-data/vet-privacy-notice. If you are unable to access the DESE link, Alpha Beta College Australia will provide you a hard copy on request from administration.
In some cases State or Territory government departments may also require and access some personal information, for the purpose of managing schemes including funded training initiatives. This can include with ABCA, the NSW Department of Industry and Training Services NSW, Smart and Skilled

Part 2 - Smart and Skilled Eligibility Form

This is the second part of the application process for a Smart and Skilled subsidised training course. This form contains questions related to specific eligibility criteria, including citizenship status, employment status and information about any government welfare payments you may be receiving. The data provided in this form will be combined with the data from Part 1 - Student Enrolment Form, to request a quote from the New South Wales government, to determine your eligibility. We may contact you for further information. Once we received the quote and your eligibility from the NSW Government, the result will be conveyed to you within 3 business days.

Evidence that Centrelink accepts the child/spouse/partner as a dependent must be sighted. A concession or exemption of the student fee will be determined based on this information. If your circumstances change after enrolment, this will not change your fees. Acceptable proof of concession eligibility includes:
  • a letter from the Department of Human Services (Centrelink) confirming receipt of the benefit. The letter should clearly show the Centrelink Reference Number (CRN) and the benefit or allowance category; or
  • a current concession card that shows the CRN and clearly shows the benefit or allowance category; or
  • a current Centrelink income statement that clearly shows the CRN and the benefit or allowance category; or
  • any other evidence that clearly shows the CRN and the benefit or allowance category; or
  • documentary evidence from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs stating their pension/benefits status; or
  • for people applying for Austudy or Youth Allowance, an approval letter from Centrelink that shows the CRN and indicates that commencement date of their benefit is within two weeks of their enrolment or two weeks within the date of the first-class attendance or participation in training.

Part 3 - Consent to use and disclosure of personal information

I understand and agree that, under the Data Provision Requirements 2012, Alpha Beta College Australia (ABCA) is required to collect personal information (information or an opinion about me), collected from me, my parent or guardian, such as my name, Unique Student Identifier, date of birth, contact details, training outcomes and performance, sensitive personal information (including my ethnicity or health information) and other enrolment and training activity-related information (together Personal Information) and disclose that Personal Information to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER).

My Personal Information (including the personal information contained on my enrolment form and my training activity data) may be used or disclosed ABCA for statistical, regulatory and research purposes. ABCA may disclose my personal information for these purposes to third parties, including:
· School – if I am a secondary student undertaking VET, including a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship;
· Employer – if I am enrolled in training paid by my employer;
· Commonwealth and State or Territory government departments and authorised agencies, including the NSW Department of Education (Department);
·  NCVER;
·  Organisations conducting student surveys; and
·  Researchers.

Personal Information disclosed to NCVER may be used or disclosed for the following purposes:
·  issuing a VET Statement of Attainment or VET Qualification, and populating Authenticated VET Transcripts;
·  facilitating statistics and research relating to education, including surveys;
·  understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information; and
·  administering VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation.

NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose my Personal Information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the VET Data Policy and all NCVER policies and protocols (including those published on NCVER’s website at www.ncver.edu.au. The Department may disclose my Personal Information to other Australian government agencies, including those located in States and Territories outside New South Wales.

The above government agencies may use my Personal Information for any purpose relating to the exercise of their government functions, including but not limited to the evaluation and assessment of my training, the determination of my eligibility to receive subsidised training or for any Fee Exemptions or Concessions. My Personal Information may also be disclosed to other third parties if required by law. I also acknowledge and agree that the Department may contact me by telephone email or post during or after I have ceased subsidised training with ABCA for the purposes of evaluating and assessing my subsidised training. Final Instructions and Submission

After you have read these final instructions, please click the button below which says 'SUBMIT'. Your responses will be submitted for checking and approval and you will be notified of your eligibility to finalise enrolment.

If you are eligible, a staff member will be in touch via email and you will be sent an electronic link for an online Skills Assessment, including a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test, which you will need to complete and submit online. If you do any of the following you will not be required to complete LLN Skills testing:
  • An Australian issued Year 12 matriculation certificate (High School/College).
  • An Australian-issued vocational training qualification is issued under the Australian Quality Framework, at least at the Certificate II level.
  • NOTE- NSW security course CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations: You will be required to complete a Mandatory face-to-face Language Literacy and Numeracy skill test provided by NSW Police SLED.
Once skills testing has been conducted and/or certification provided, your enrolment will be finalised and you will be given a Smart and Skilled Commencement Identifier. Details of the training location and course dates will then be finalised. 

This current round of training will commence between 12-05-2023 and 30-05-2023 and training must be completed by 16-06-2023. Training will take place in Newcastle Campus.

We suggest completing this enrolment package as soon as possible, conducting your skills testing and finalising enrolment, as places are limited. You will commence training by distance learning, with pre-course material sent to you immediately on enrolment being finalised.
