The Outstanding Teacher Award was created by the Sulphur Kiwanis Club to recognize teachers who have gone above and beyond in the education of their students while instilling the critical skills of problem solving and determination.  An outstanding teacher inspires the spirit of inquiry and presents information in a unique or creative manner while serving as a mentor to students.  

The Sulphur Kiwanis Club will present a $500 Award to an Outstanding Teacher from each of the four different schools for the first, second and third nine weeks.  There will be 12 awards given out each year.  Nominations can be from fellow Educators, Students, Parents or Community Members. 

These awards is made in memory of long-time Sulphur Educator and 3rd Grade Teacher, Sally Bright.  

Nomination Deadlines:
First Nine Weeks         October 30, 2020
Second Nine Weeks    January 22, 2021
Third Nine Weeks        April 16, 2021
