POSITION SUMMARY - The Auburn Fire Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Third Rescue Paramedic. This is not a firefighting position and does not include firefighting functions.

This role is designed to staff a third rescue unit during peak service demand hours, supplementing the department’s existing 24/7 rescue coverage. The Third Rescue Paramedic will respond to medical emergencies, and perform a variety of EMS related administrative duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS -

High school diploma
Maine Licensed Paramedic
Preferred: Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) or equivalent, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent.
Good judgment under emergency conditions
Proficiency with computer technology relevant to departmental needs
