Welcome to the survey

The City of Kawartha Lakes is completing a feasibility study to assess the need, interest and capacity for a food hub within the City of Kawartha Lakes. A food hub is an enterprise that actively manages the aggregation, distribution, and marketing of source-identified produce and other food products, primarily from local and regional producers.

The purpose of this study is to better understand the supply of local food in the Kawartha Region (which includes the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Peterborough) and, the potential to increase the consumption of local food through the development of new infrastructure such as a food hub.
Buyers of fruits and vegetables, specialty grains and pulse crops, meat, and other food products (i.e. honey, maple syrup, eggs, dairy, etc.) are invited to participate. The survey is available online and in hard copy. Information provided will be kept confidential and will be aggregated and used for statistical analysis only. Thank you for your participation and please encourage other buyers to complete this survey.
