Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the budget shortfall facing North Kansas City Schools and share your thinking to inform the important decisions ahead. As we work to identify approximately $16 million in ongoing budget reductions beginning in the 2027–28 school year, we are committed to maintaining an open feedback loop with our community. This survey is designed to provide a similar level of information and opportunities for input shared during our recent in-person Community Roundtables.
How this survey works: You'll have opportunities to review information about our current budget situation and potential areas for reductions, then to answer questions and share your thoughts and priorities. We'll repeat this process for two topics, transportation and technology, with an opportunity to submit more questions and ideas at the end. In a school district as large as ours, these are complex issues, so we encourage you to set aside approximately 45-60 minutes to review the information provided and share your feedback.
