Resilient Hubs Program Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Resilience Hub! The following offers a summary about our Three Pillars; please refer to our website for the full description of our criteria.

SUSTAINABILITY AND PERMACULTURE: could include edible gardens, water conservation (rain water catchment, graywater systems, etc.), energy conservation & renewable energy, zero waste, use of non-toxic materials and more.

COMMUNITY BUILDING AND INCLUSION: could include neighborhood block parties, garden work parties, racial justice workshops, community potlucks and more.

DISASTER PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE: could include emergency plans, research about community vulnerabilities to climate change, ample supplies of food and water, and protection against fires.

Introductory phone call (December 12th)

Attendance at a Hubs introductory workshop/Skill Share (January or Feb.),

Attendance at least one workshop/work party offered by another Hub in the next eight months

Coordination of at least one public- facing event to further your Hub goals in the next eight months

Written post-program evaluation

Participation in our online communications platforms (Slack and/or Facebook group), including sharing photos

Support in grant writing or participation in fundraising activities for the Resilience Hubs Initiative (which includes raising funds for your own Hub's activities)

* 10. Lastly, the Resilience Hubs Working Group will be selecting one $500 mini-grant based on applications received by December 13th! Priority will be given to sites working in under-served communities, and for projects that engage neighborhoods and/or communities.

Please write a brief description about the kind of resiliency project your site might work on with this $500 grant.
