For state / higher education contracts, the law prohibits bargaining over retirement, so proposals related to retirement will not be accepted. Also for state contracts, negotiation over health care benefits is done in a coalition with many other unions and limited by law to “the dollar amount expended on behalf of each employee for health care benefits.”
Separate from bargaining, WFSE strongly advocates for good health care and retirement benefits with members who sit on the PEBB Benefits Board and Washington State Investment Board.
Notice a change? The form has been changed to submit one proposal at a time in order to ensure the data can be pulled in a manageable and usable format for the bargaining teams' use. We encourage you to submit as many proposals as you'd like, but please only one per form.
