Mini Survey Series: Cat Acute Surgical Pain

We appreciate your feedback.

What drugs/treatments would you include in an analgesic protocol for each of the patients undergoing the surgical procedures listed below. Assume that all cats are young adults and healthy except for the condition described.
Dental prophylaxis and extractions in a cat with Grade III periodontal disease requiring extensive cleaning and multiple extractions on both the mandible and maxilla. No other health concerns.
Abdominal exploratory surgery with jejunal enterotomy for removal of a non-perforating linear foreign body. The cat has been vomiting for 2 days. Dehydration has been corrected prior to surgery, no other abnormalities.
Femur fracture (mid-shaft oblique) repair with IM pins and cerclage wire. The cause of the fracture is unknown but no other injuries sustained.
1.Please choose the drugs/techniques that you would use as part of the analgesic protocol for the surgical procedures listed above. The drug/technique can be used at any time during the procedure (pre-, intra- or post-operative) except for discharge, which is a separate question. This is a general question, more specific details on which drugs/treatments you would use will appear later in the survey.(Required.)
