"The Produce Cart" Mobile Farmers Market Survey
What is The Produce Cart?
Community Partnership, Inc. and Penn State Extension are working together to create and promote a fresh food mobile market that will visit neighborhoods in Butler, Sharon/Farrell, and New Castle starting in spring 2022. The mobile market will accept SNAP and WIC benefits, Senior Farmer’s Market coupons, and other available food incentive programs. It will offer fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, meat, and poultry at reasonable prices.
Our goal is to ensure the fresh food mobile market meets the needs of residents in the communities we will serve. By completing this survey, you will help us determine what will be available for purchase from the mobile market and provide you and others like you, who live in Butler, Sharon/Farrell, and New Castle, the locations, days, and times you would like the mobile market to visit your community.
Fruits and vegetables will be available based on what is seasonably grown and available in PA. Frequently used vegetables like carrots, celery, lettuce, onion, tomatoes, peppers, and potatoes will be available most weeks. Some of these items, along with others, like bananas, lemons, limes, oranges, etc., and items not available in PA, will be sourced from a local grocery store.
