In early 2021, the MMA Board of Directors established an Ad Hoc Committee on Health System Reform and asked it to review and revise the MMA’s 2017 Statement on Reform of the U.S. Health Care System. This Ad Hoc Committee, chaired by Maroulla Gleaton, M.D., met for nearly a year drafting the updated Statement that accompanies this survey. The MMA appreciates your feedback about this draft Statement, which recommends actions to be taken at the federal level to improve health care delivery in this country. The Ad Hoc Committee will review the survey results this Fall and will edit the Statement as it deems appropriate based on member feedback. The Committee then will send the revised Statement to the Board of Directors for review, consideration, and final approval.

In addition to the draft Statement accompanying this survey, we have also posted the results of a survey of members (students and residents separated from “established” physicians) conducted early in the Ad Hoc Committee’s process.

The MMA values member feedback about this draft Statement, so thank you for your participation!
