Staff Survey

The National Tertiary Education Union is currently bargaining for a new enterprise agreement with Deakin Management to improve your pay and working conditions.  
 
So far, management has said ‘No’ to all our major claims, and has instead outlined a draft enterprise agreement of its own with a low pay offer (below inflation) and little or no change to existing working conditions.

* 1. We are asking for base pay rise of 15% or CPI + 1.5%. Would you support this?

* 2. We are asking for staff to be afforded determinative power over their workloads to protect against overwork and work intensification. Would you support this?

* 3. 1 in 3 staff at Deakin are precariously employed on a casual or fixed term basis. We believe staff deserve secure work, and opportunities for career development. Would you support clear targets to decasualise and reduce the use of insecure staff in the University?
