Unity Meadows Park
|
Unity Meadows Park is a new 6.16-acre City Park project in the Vanden Meadows subdivision, located at the corner of Jackson Rd and Baileyann Place.
The Unity Meadows Park site has a ‘Neighborhood Park’ designation in the City of Vacaville Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which is intended to serve a half mile radius or a be a 10-minute walk from nearby residential areas. Neighborhood Parks are typically comprised of amenities such as play areas, open lawn, shade trees, picnic areas, walking paths and at least one active play court.
The City of Vacaville’s Park and Recreation Department is seeking community input to ensure that Unity Meadows Park will provide complementary amenities to nearby park facilities such as Cannon Station and Magnolia Park. These nearby existing parks have amenities such as tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball backstop, traditional play equipment and a splash pad.
The information collected here will be used by our design consultant, who will use it to inform the design concepts they put together that will appear on the Unity Meadows Park Master Plan.
