Fresh MARTA Market Value-Add Vendor Application

The Fresh MARTA Market is a pop-up farm stand that takes place in four MARTA train stations. One of the goals is to help farmers sell more produce while getting healthy, fresh food into places where people already are.

The Markets are located in the West End, H.E. Holmes, College Park, and Five Points MARTA Stations, serving multiple areas with limited fresh food access. Each stand operates one day per week, providing fresh produce at a different station each day from Tuesday to Friday.

This innovative food access solution is a partnership between Community Farmers Markets, Georgia Food Oasis - Atlanta, Atlanta Community Food Bank, Organix Matters, and Wholesome Wave Georgia. The Fresh MARTA Market sources locally grown produce from members of the Southwest Atlanta Growers Cooperative (SWAG) and farmers affiliated with Community Farmers Markets, as well as several local food hubs. This gives local farmers the opportunity to sell more produce to consumers that might not otherwise shop at a farmers market. This produce is complemented by non-local produce so that Fresh MARTA Market patrons can do a large amount of their fresh food shopping on their way to or from home.

The markets accept cash, credit, debit, and EBT/SNAP. SNAP is doubled at the market, meaning that $5 swiped is worth $10 to spend.

The Value-Add Vendor application fee is $20.

If you are selected to be a vendor, you do not need to be on site at any Fresh MARTA Market for your product to sell. Fresh MARTA Market will purchase your Value-Added Products (VAP) at a wholesale or less than retail price, then resell your VAP to the Fresh MARTA Market customers.
